Second and third Halloween ATC featuring stampotique stamps and ranger distress inks x

 Hello you lovely lot. Just wanted to show you the other 2 ATCs I made for the stampotique facebook page swap.

 This first one was made by stamping "friend" stampotique stamp by Daniel Torrente on to the ATC. I used black versafine ink for this and then clear heat embossed him.Next I went in with festive berries distressink and flicked it to look like blood splats. To do this I pressed the ink pad onto my craft sheet, sprayed with water, got it onto a paintbrush, and flicked it at ATC. I stamped the sentiment with black versafine, and clear heat embossed it. Then, i stuck orange sequins onto theATC where i found it compositionally appropriate. For the last step I went back to the festive berries distress ink pad and scraped the edges of the ATC with it just to pick up a bit of colour and frame it. It was quite simple but effective, I think. Leaving the backround white really make the "blood splatters" pop.

This other "Trick or treat" themed ATC used 4 stampotique stamps. I stamped and cut out the witches hat, the devil, the pumpkin trick or treater, and the door stamp. (Masking off what was originally on door stamp to leave the door blank)

For the backround I pressed spiced marmalade, and dried marigold distress inks onto the craft mat repeating the process from earlier. Spritzed with water but this time ran it through the inky water, turning it back and forth to create intresting patterns.

Set that aside to dry whilst you colour in the door, the devil,the hat, and the pumpkin trick or treater stamps. I used copic markers for this but any good marker or coloured pencil will do. Go ahead and have fun experimenting with this. Half the fun for me is trying new products, and techniques. Just make sure if you decide on alcohol markers make sure you stamp the images in momento ink. It is water based so the colours wont bleed with the alcohol markers. I placed the devil stamp behind the cut out door and stuck that to the ATC.Then I stamped the trick or treater with black ranger archival ink directly over half of the door. I then took my coloured pumpkin trick or treater image (With missing arms and legs) and stuck it over where i stamped.  Stick on your hat, and your almost done!

The last step is on the computer. I typed out the sentiment in a word document, printed it, cut it up, and coloured the edges. Once you stick that on there, go around the edges ever so lightly with walnut stain....and your done! Easy peasy.

Stampotique "halloween" ATC swap

Hi everyone. Hope everybody is enjoyed their weekends. We had a virus come through our house last week. Everyone was ill. one after the other. It was not fun at all. Hence why I have been quiet on the blog front for a bit.Thank gosh Im feeling better and I wanted to share with you my ATC for the Stampotique originals facebook page "halloween" themed ATC swap. Above is the front and back of the first ATC. I used shabby shutters and peeled paint distress inks. I tapped them straight onto craft matt, spritzed with water, and ran ATC through. I manipulated it around to make sure I got runs and splats. Then I heat dried it. I stamped the specks and specimen with Tim Holtz halloween stamps. The bottles are JOFY, and "freaky little thing " sentiment is wendi vecchi. The head in the jar is mothfab from stampotique, The ghost is Janet Klein for stampotique, and the skulls area halloween cube by Daniel Torrente for stampotique.

Creepy card featuring stampendous stamps

 Hi guys! Im desperate to show you the atcs I made for the stampotique facebookpage swap.However, I dont want to ruin the suprise for my receiver so it will have to wait. So watch this space!

  'Halloween is my favourite time of the year. Everything about the crisp air, falling leaves, hot apple cider, pumpkin carving, bonfires, and trick or treating. It reminds me of being a kid in northern Illinois . Trick or treating till our pillowcases were full and then going out back for more! 

     Having that in mind I made this fun halloween card. I really liked this stampendous stamp with the girl and skeleton. 



I pressed shabby shutters and forest moss distress inks on a craft matt. spritzed with water and ran white card through it. 

Heat dry that and stamp randomly with Tim Holtz skull and crossbones stamp. 

Randomly go around the edges with a stamp from kaiserkraft. Use black ink for this. I recomend Ranger archival ink. 

My friend Jo has instilled in me a dislike for anything just floating in the air on a card. (Besides things with wings). So I anchored the couch with harlequin washi tape.

I could not decide what colour dress to put her in so there are a few versions.

I put some spider web washi tape around to just strengthen the compostition. Think about the rule of thirds.

 I got the sentiment second hand and really dont know what make it is. I just loved the spooky but romantic saying.

Just stamp and emboss that on a piece of card and cut to size. Do the same thing with it as you did with the large piece of card.

Now just rummage through your stash and find some black and grey bling. xx

I had fun putting this together. You should give it a go. Maybe by a roaring fire with a hot cup of apple cider? no? Well, whatever you get up to remember to be spooooky. Its october!  BOO!!
